Rebuilding worn and uneven edges

Years of wear had left the biting edges chipped and uneven, with small notches where enamel had broken away and the edges of the teeth no longer forming a continuous line.

Wear of this kind changes a smile in a way most people notice without being able to name — the teeth look shorter, the smile line flattens, and the face reads as older than it is. Rebuilding the edges restores the length the teeth have lost and returns the curve that the eye expects to see.
