Evening out an uneven gum line

An uneven gum line makes teeth of the same size look different from one another, because the eye measures a tooth from where the gum meets it rather than from the root.

The work is in the symmetry: the margins on matching teeth either side of the midline should sit at the same height, and the line across the front teeth should run in a smooth, predictable curve.

A note on the photographs: gum tissue appears red and inflamed while it is being treated and for some days afterwards. That is part of the process rather than a complication.
